Montgomery County Women's Center

I stayed at this shelter about a year ago and left because some of the women there were hostile, aggressive, and physically confrontational toward me. Even after leaving, I gave personal items I purchased myself to the other residents I tried to leave on a positive note. When I called recently to ask for clarification about returning, the manager refused to explain anything, told me the decision would not change, and threatened police involvement simply for asking questions. They labeled me as aggressive, completely ignoring the fact that I left to protect myself from their hostility. It felt like my generosity, patience, and attempts to leave peacefully were completely disregarded, and the blame was unfairly shifted onto me. This shelter is not safe or supportive for everyone, and I would caution anyone considering it to be aware of how former clients may be treated. I also want to note that many staff and managers were once residents themselves. If they have never fully healed from their own experiences, it raises serious concerns about whether they can guide others effectively. Healing matters, and without it, the support they offer can feel incomplete or even harmful.

I saw the video of them putting a lady in her children out on the street. Take action and stop funding for this place and shut them down to reopen a place that has actual compassion and does actual work. We must contact whatever subsidies providers and have this place investigated posthaste

Told my kid to drive all the way out to conroe to pick up her check before 5. She got off work and rushed out there arriving at 430p. Only to be told by receptionist that everyone went home early and she had to leave. This place is very unprofessional. And withholding pay is a crime!!!

The staff dropped me and my children off at a gas station. After I had confronted a woman in the shelter for bullying another woman's child and for belittling another female that is battling spiritual warfare. It was a non violent incident and my only incident. There was no physical contact. I had a verbal warning and had no agreement contract written. The rules state If two woman get into any type of disagreement that involves raising of the voice. Both woman will be terminated immediately. They left the Mason lodge verbal abuser that had no children. Stay in the shelter and woke my two children ages 6 and 8 years old to throw them into the streets. Very unprofessional. There was no counseling. My side of the story was not taken into consideration.

I could write a book on this place. They are litterally taking in donations and goverment funding to be of no service to its residents. The only thing i see prospering from the donations would be the workers. They actually sit around and do nothing all day and all nigg. All acept for nrs mellisa and mrs michelle and the black lady that works over night. One "gaurd" name shelby, should not ever a day that shes alive be working w domestic violence women and children. She should not be working w animals either. All of the staff that they have in thier are a buncha clueless individuals recieving more of the donation and benefits than the actual lladies in thier. But hey, i guess the money gotta go somewhere even if it goes to the staff. AND THEY LOOK AT YOU STUPID BEHIND YOUR BACK WHEN THEY THINK NOONE IS LOOKING. Especially the one w the dora hair cut that looks like dora idk her name. This place is awful but i aready know its the last resort because everybody else is full.
